Our Story

In the early months of 2024, I was gifted the most adorable stuffed animal I had laid my eyes on. It had soft eyes, a sweet face and a lively spirit. What stuck out to me most however, was the branding. The plush was modeled after an endangered large cat species and the name and tag both seemed eager to display this. And, as a student headed into college to study wildlife conservation, I was excited to see that a large toy company cared about endangered species.

This excitement did not last long however. As I looked closer into the company and this line of toys, I saw no mention of any intention to give back to the endangered species they were profiting off of. It was just another strategy to sell toys.

This realization ignited an idea in me. Stuffed animals are bigger than ever. Collectables are bigger than ever. There should be a way for the animals we love, the ones being used to sell these collectables and plushes, to benefit from it.

So, that summer I started L.L. Plush. I partnered with Bears for Humanity to ethically produce our first plush, Ember, with sustainable and organic materials. Now, over a year later Ember is ready to launch with L.L. Plush giving back 30% of Ember sales to elephant conservation around the world.
